Biography

The company was founded in 1987 by geological engineer (MSc) Ali Karabulut. It has extensive knowledge of the exploration, production and technology of ceramic raw materials in general. It holds exploration and operating sites in various regions of Türkiye. The largest of these, in the Şile district of İstanbul province, produces clay and white silica sand, the main raw materials of ceramics. The same quarries also yield heat-resistant foundry sand and construction sand after washing. In addition, the natural gas sand that comes out during the production of these raw materials is extracted by us. Our other mining site, in Korgun, Çankırı, focuses on the production of ceramic clay and bentonite.

To date, our company has supplied raw materials to many ceramic factories, notably Çanakkale Seramik, Toprak Seramik, Kütahya Seramik, Ege Seramik, Hitit Seramik, Termal Seramik and Akgün Seramik. Our relationships continue depending on the quality and reserves of the raw materials. In addition to the production carried out with our own construction machinery, some production is also carried out by subcontractors. Our company is one of the few leading raw material companies in the Turkish ceramics sector.

Furthermore, out of our commitment to the environment, after paying the forest lease fee and opening quarries, we restore each site once production has ended and hand it over to the forestry authority. Apart from the areas reforested by the forestry organisation, we have so far planted close to 10,000 pine and acacia trees on these sites, setting an example of environmental responsibility in mining, and we will continue to do so. Our company's head office is in Küçükyalı, and our site is at Alacalı in the Şile district. A total of 14 people work at the head office and the site.

Erven Maden, our second company, operates in exports and continues to contribute to the national economy with annual export sales of 100,000 tonnes.
